Silk Greeting Cards FAQs

What does “16pt silk laminated cardstock” mean and how does it feel?

It’s a sturdy 16pt card (about 350 gsm) sealed on both sides with a silk-matte film. It feels soft and smooth (not glossy), resists scuffs and fingerprints, and gives colors a refined, low-glare look.

Can I write on silk greeting cards, and which pens work best?

Yes, but use a ballpoint or fine-tip permanent marker. Gel and rollerball inks can smear on the silk laminate; if used, allow extra dry time.

Are the sizes listed flat or folded?

Options that say “Folds to …” are shown as the flat size with the finished folded size noted (e.g., 10" x 7" folds to 5" x 7"). Sizes without that note are flat cards.

Do you offer rounded corners, and what’s the difference between 1/8" and 1/4"?

Yes, choose 1/8" (subtle round) or 1/4" (more pronounced). The corners are trimmed after lamination, so the edges are clean and sealed.

Can you print on the inside of a folded card?

Choose “Print both sides.” The inside panels count as the back side. “Print front only” leaves the inside unprinted.

What envelopes are available for these cards?

Optional White Woven envelopes are offered as an add-on. They’re smooth, uncoated white envelopes suited for greeting cards.

What are the turnaround and order quantities?

Production is 5 business days. Order quantities range from 25 to 10,000, and ordering is completed online.
