Aqueous coating is a water-based clear coat applied inline after printing to add protection and a gloss or matte finish. It’s low-VOC and recyclable-friendly, offers light scuff and fingerprint resistance, but is less high-gloss and less moisture-proof than UV coating or film lamination.

Which paper stock should I pick: 100 lb paper vs. 10 pt/14 pt/16 pt cardstock?

100 lb paper is a sturdy text stock that’s flexible and ideal for handouts or posters to be taped up. 10 pt/14 pt/16 pt are progressively stiffer cardstocks that lay flatter on displays and resist curling; choose thicker stocks for large formats or long-term indoor posting.

Can you print double-sided posters and is the coating on both sides?

Yes, choose Full Color Both Sides if you need graphics on both sides, and select Gloss Both Sides or Matte Both Sides for the finish. For double-sided printing, heavier stocks (14 pt/16 pt) minimize show-through.

Is there a stock that lets me write or stamp on the back?

Yes, 14 pt Cardstock Uncoated Back is designed for writable backs. On coated surfaces, permanent markers work best; ballpoints and gel pens may smudge, with matte performing better than gloss.

Are these posters suitable for outdoor use?

Aqueous-coated posters are meant for indoor use; the coating adds light moisture and scuff resistance but is not waterproof or UV-fade resistant. For outdoor exposure, a weatherproof substrate or lamination would be required (not part of this product).

What sizes are available, and how should I set up bleed?

Are the materials recyclable and low-VOC?
