Posters FAQs
What paper stocks are available for posters and how do they differ?
Choices include 100 lb paper (flexible), 10 pt cardstock (light board), 14 pt cardstock and 14 pt cardstock with uncoated back, and 16 pt cardstock (stiff, premium). Heavier points are thicker and resist curl/show-through better.
Can you print posters single- or double-sided?
Yes. Choose Full Color Front, Blank Back or Full Color Both Sides. For two-sided posters, pick 14 pt or 16 pt to minimize show-through.
What coating options do you offer and when should I pick each?
Gloss Both Sides (shiny, high contrast) and Matte Both Sides (low glare, softer look). If you need to write on the piece, select 14 pt Uncoated Back so the back side accepts pen.
What poster sizes can I order?
Preset sizes include 8.5" x 11", 11" x 17", 12" x 18", 18" x 24", 22" x 28", 24" x 36", 39" x 27", and more listed. Print is available edge-to-edge with bleed; portrait or landscape is fine.
How should I set up my file (bleed, safe area, resolution, color)?
Supply 300 dpi at final size, CMYK color. Add 0.125" bleed on all sides and keep critical text 0.25" inside trim. Flatten transparencies and embed/outline fonts.
Are these posters suitable for outdoor use?
They are paper/cardstock prints with aqueous gloss or matte coating, great indoors. They are not weatherproof; for short outdoor use, keep sheltered. Lamination or waterproofing is not included.
What are the turnaround options for posters?
Same Day, Next Business Day, or 3 Business Days are available. Eligibility depends on size/quantity; cut-off times and rush charges may apply at checkout.
What is the minimum order quantity and do you offer bulk pricing?
Minimum starts at 25 pieces, with tiered price breaks at 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 1500, and 2000 units.
Can I write on my poster for sign-ups or schedules?
Yes, choose 14 pt Cardstock Uncoated Back to write cleanly on the back. Coated fronts resist ink; if writing on the front is unavoidable, use a permanent marker on Matte.
How accurate will my poster colors be compared to my screen?
Printed in full-color CMYK; RGB and spot colors are converted, so expect minor shifts. For brand-critical hues, provide CMYK builds (or Pantone references for conversion) and a high-quality file for best match within industry tolerances.
