Rose Gold Metal Business Cards FAQs
What are these cards made of and how thick are they?
They’re 0.5 mm stainless steel cards plated in rose gold, sized 3.5" x 2" (standard US business card size).
How is the rose gold finish achieved, and what shows when you engrave?
The rose gold look is a plated coating over stainless steel. Laser engraving or etching removes the plating to reveal the stainless steel beneath for a silver-toned contrast.
What finish options are available, and how do they differ?
Mirror (highly reflective, shows fingerprints), Matte (low glare, smoother look), and Brushed (directional grain, hides handling marks better).
What’s the difference between “None Bleed Etch Included” and “Full Bleed Etch”?
None Bleed Etch applies etched detail within the card area. Full Bleed Etch extends etched artwork to the edges for a borderless look.
Can you print spot colors on metal, and how many per side?
Yes. You can add 1–4 spot colors on the front and/or back. We recommend Pantone Solid Coated references for color targeting.
Is variable data (unique names, numbers, or QR codes) supported?
Yes, on front and/or back using spot color, laser engraving, or both. Provide a CSV for the changing fields; the process runs without slowing production.
Can I combine laser engraving with spot color printing?
Yes. You can engrave front, back, or both and also add 1–4 spot colors per side. Combinations like “1 Spot Color + Laser Engrave” are available.
Will 0.5 mm metal cards fit in standard wallets?
Yes. They’re standard size (3.5" x 2"). At 0.5 mm they’re thinner than a plastic credit card but heavier; very tight slots may feel snug.
How durable is the rose gold plating and the printed ink?
The plating is robust but can scratch with abrasives or keys. Laser engraving is permanent. Spot colors are cured for good scuff resistance; avoid harsh cleaners.
What artwork files should I upload for best results?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) for etched/engraved and spot color elements; 300 dpi for any raster art. Clearly separate layers for etch/engrave vs print, and indicate any full-bleed etch areas.
