Epoxy Metal Cards FAQs
What size are your Epoxy Metal Cards?
CR80 (2.125" x 3.375"), the same footprint as a standard credit card with rounded corners to fit wallets and card holders.
What exactly is an “epoxy metal” card and how is the artwork applied?
A rigid metal core card (commonly stainless-style substrate) with your graphics printed and sealed under a clear epoxy resin layer. The epoxy dome adds high-gloss depth and protects the print from handling and moisture.
How durable is the epoxy finish in everyday use?
The epoxy layer is waterproof and highly scratch-resistant, ideal for frequent handoffs. It’s not scratch-proof, avoid abrasive cleaners and sharp metal-on-metal contact to maintain clarity and gloss.
What quantities and prices do you offer?
Available quantities and current pricing: 100 ($294), 200 ($588), 300 ($882), 400 ($1,176), 500 ($1,470), 1,000 ($2,350), 3,000 ($7,050). Pricing reflects one design and standard specs.
Is there a setup fee? What does it cover?
Yes, $130 per artwork. It covers prepress, plate/screen/tooling setup, and machine calibration for your specific design. New or revised designs require a new setup.
What’s the production turnaround?
10–14 business days after proof approval and payment for standard orders. Transit time is additional and depends on the shipping method and destination.
Can you print edge-to-edge and use metallic effects?
Yes. We print full-bleed under the epoxy. Designs can leverage the metal substrate for metallic accents by leaving areas unprinted; solid color areas print as opaque under the clear resin.
What artwork files and color specs should I send?
Vector PDF/AI/EPS preferred (fonts outlined); high‑res PNG/TIFF (300 dpi at size) also accepted. Supply colors in CMYK or note Pantone targets for close matching; the epoxy’s gloss can make colors appear slightly deeper.
