Slim business card printing produces cards that are so sleek, some customers are choosing to go with these 1.75? x 3.5? cards over other size options (standard business cards are 2? x 3.5? and typically either 14 or 16 pt. Thick as well). It?s like having high-quality small business cards; they are compact and are therefore easy to carry around. Your printed slim business cards can be created on thick 14 pt. cardstock but we also offer a 16 pt. cardstock option for those who want their cards extra thick.

Having coating options is important as they do have a direct impact on the look and feel of your cards. Our uncoated option helps emphasize the design itself while our aqueous coating options give your cards extra pizzazz. Matte aqueous coating leaves a dull, muted finish, while gloss aqueous coating gives you just a little more. If you need your cards to be really shiny, choose our high gloss UV coating option.

Slim Business Cards FAQs

What size are slim business cards and will they fit standard holders?

They’re 1.75" x 3.5" (same length as standard, narrower width). They fit most 3.5"-length holders with a little extra space on the 2" side.

What paper stocks are available and how thick are they?

Choose 14pt Uncoated, 14pt with Uncoated Back (coated front/uncoated back), 14pt Coated (both sides), or 16pt Coated (both sides). Thickness is approx. 0.014" (14pt) and 0.016" (16pt).

Which coatings can I select and how do they differ?

For 14pt Uncoated Back you can coat the front only (Gloss, Matte, or High Gloss UV). For 14pt/16pt Coated you can coat both sides (Gloss or Matte). Gloss is shiny, Matte is low-sheen, UV is ultra-gloss and most durable.

Can I write on these cards with pen or pencil?

Yes, pick 14pt Uncoated for full writeability or 14pt Uncoated Back with a coated front if you only need to write on the back. Coated and UV areas are not pen-friendly.

Do you print double-sided, and what happens to the back with different coatings?

Yes, 4/4 (full color both sides) or 4/0 (front only). With Uncoated Back, the back stays uncoated even if the front is coated. With 14pt/16pt Coated, choosing “Gloss/Matte Both Sides” coats both sides.

What file setup do you need for the slim size?

Final trim: 1.75" x 3.5". Provide bleed of 0.125" on all sides (file size 2.0" x 3.75"), keep critical text 0.125" inside trim, 300 dpi, CMYK, embed images, outline fonts, export as PDF/PNG/JPG.

Are rounded corners available and what radius is used?

Yes, 1/4" radius. Keep text/logos at least 0.1875" from the corner edges to avoid clipping after rounding.

How fast can you produce slim cards?

Turnarounds: Same Day, 1–5 Business Days. The clock starts after artwork approval and payment before the daily cutoff; shipping time is additional.

What quantities can I order, and does pricing scale?

From 25 up to 100,000. Unit cost drops at higher quantities; very fast small runs may print digitally, large runs may print offset depending on schedule.

Do you offer shrink wrapping, and why choose it?

Optional shrink wrap bundles protect edges, reduce scuffs, and make distribution easier. Request your preferred bundle size when ordering if you have a packing preference.
