What makes these “silk” business cards different from regular cards?

They’re printed in full color on 16pt cardstock and sealed with a soft-touch matte (silk) lamination. The lamination adds a smooth, non-glare feel and extra scuff, water, and tear resistance compared to uncoated or gloss cards.

How thick are the silk business cards?

The base paper is 16pt cardstock. The silk lamination adds a little body, so the finished card feels slightly thicker and sturdier than a bare 16pt card.

Can I add Spot UV to silk cards, and on which sides?

Yes. You can choose Spot UV on Front Only, Back Only, or Front and Back. The glossy Spot UV pops against the matte silk finish to highlight logos or text.

What sizes are available for silk business cards?

How should I set up files, especially for Spot UV?

Supply CMYK, 300 dpi, with 0.125" bleed and safe margins. For Spot UV, include a separate 100% black (K) mask file or layer, vector shapes only, exactly aligned to the print file where you want the gloss.

Are silk cards easy to write on?

Silk lamination is low-slip but not porous. Fine-tip permanent markers work best; gel pens and stamps may smudge. Test if you plan to handwrite notes.
