Same Day Posters FAQs

What paper stocks are available for Same Day Posters, and when should I choose each?

Choose 100 lb paper for lightweight handouts or indoor wall posting. Pick 10–16 pt cardstock when you need stiffness for displays or signage. The “14 pt Cardstock Uncoated Back” (C1S) has a printable coated front and an uncoated back that’s better for writing or stamping.

Can you print double-sided, and how do gloss or matte coatings affect the poster?

Yes, print full color on the front only or on both sides. You can apply a flood gloss or matte coating on both sides. Gloss gives higher contrast and pop but more glare; matte reduces glare. Coated surfaces don’t take pen/marker well, choose the uncoated-back stock if you need to write.

What file specs do you require to qualify for same-day turnaround?

Submit press-ready CMYK PDFs by our same-day cutoff, with images at 150–300 dpi at final size. Include 0.125" bleed on all sides (and keep text 0.125–0.25" inside the trim). Embed or outline fonts. Avoid RGB, spot colors, and overprint issues to prevent delays.

What poster sizes can I order, and is there anything to know about trimming?

Standard sizes include 8.5" x 11", 11" x 17", 12" x 18", 18" x 24", 22" x 28", 24" x 36", and up to 39" x 27". Posters are printed full bleed and trimmed to final size; allow normal trim tolerance (about ±1/16"–±1/8") and keep critical content in the safe area.

Are these posters suitable for outdoor use or long-term displays?

They’re intended for indoor use. Gloss/matte coatings add scuff resistance and color depth but are not waterproof or UV-rated. For outdoor, wet, or sun-exposed installs, use a weatherproof substrate or laminated large-format print (not part of this product).
