Same Day Printing FAQs

What's the timing for same day printing?

Just contact us by 12pm for your printing project to be completed the same day. Our staff will quickly answer your questions and be happy to help you with your same day printing needs. Our designers are very experienced and will help you create a concept quickly. Our Same Day Printing services are available in NYC as well as Long Island and New Jersey.

How can we print same day?

Same day printing and fast delivery come from investments in modern printing machines and tools. The latest digital and offset printing machines have significantly reduced output times and reduced printing setup requirements, as well as waste and cleaning costs, so we can load new jobs faster than ever before. These machines have also improved color matching and overall print quality. We never outsource our work and print all our jobs right here in New York. This attention to detail and investment in new technology has allowed us to quickly scale to include same-day printing on almost all of our printing products, including large format products!

Looking for the best print company NYC ?

At 1800-Printing our goal is to get you what you need as soon as possible. Our turnarounds refer to our production times and do not guarantee in hand delivery on that day if we are shipping your items to you. We offer local delivery in the 5 boroughs and also ship via Fedex & UPS. Our name says it all, one number for all your printing needs. From business cards to brochures to banners, we’ve got you covered. We also have an array of designers with expertise in brand management from concept to conception. We’ll have you stand out amongst the crowd in no time. So choose the best print company NYC!

What resolution should my artwork be for same day printing?

300 DPI is the ideal print resolution for digital printing machines. The design of a file with a resolution of less than 300 DPI will result in blurring and pixelation. On the other hand, it is not worth designing with a resolution higher than 300 DPI. To the extent that it is possible to judge by the eyes, there will be no difference in press quality. In addition, it will make your file much larger (it will increase the upload/download time).

We always recommend drawing with 300 DPI for printing, but we also know that sometimes you can’t edit the projects. If you cannot design your files to print at 300 DPI, you have to take some steps to ensure that the low resolution works for you.

What is digital printing & how does it produce faster turnarounds?

Digital printing is the process of making prints from an electronic file. The artwork is created on a computer and directly printed onto the material. In fact, digital printing is an alternative to traditional printing methods such as flexography, lithography, offset printing, letterpress, gravure, and others. The process eliminates most of the steps that are needed for traditional printing methods such as color proofs, making films, making printing plates, and stripping the pieces together manually.

Digital printing is convenient and highly effective compared to traditional methods and comes with numerous benefits. That is why the process is so popular in this day and age. This article provides information on what digital printing really is. The image needed for printing is directly sent to the printer through a digital file such as PDF, TIFF, and many other formats. The process is ideal for printing that requires smaller quantities with high amounts of detail. The process doesn’t include prepress stages between the document file and the final product – prepress stages are mandatory in most of the other traditional printing methods out there. On the other hand, you don’t need messy formatting equipment such as photo chemicals and film plates for this process.

Why should businesses choose digital printing?

One of the most important benefits of digital printing is the high-quality finish. In fact, technology has come a long way which means you get great quality for your money even if you only have small print runs. In fact, the process is more effective for medium and shorter print runs. You can print what you want when you need it thanks to digital printing. The quick turnaround time is the most important advantage of this method. The cost-effectiveness is another important advantage of this method.

If you have used offset printing for your business, you know that it requires minimum orders to become cost-effective. That is why you should opt for digital printing since it doesn’t need minimum orders for printing. You have the flexibility and freedom to use the process to print whatever you need at the right time. If you have small quantities to be printed, you should definitely opt for digital printing.

The process is much faster than most of the traditional printing methods. The shorter turnaround time and the minimal set-up requirements help speed up the entire process. In fact, consistency is another advantage of digital printing. Every print is the same when you use this method. It offers very few variations and less waste as a result of not having to balance ink and water during the print run. Another important thing is the eco-friendliness of the process. No need for film plates and photo chemicals since there are no prepress stages in digital printing. That is why you should be choosing digital printing for all of your small-quantity printing requirements.

What are the advantages of digital printing for same day turnarounds?

Another of the many advantages of commercial digital printing is the flexibility it provides. Digital printing makes it possible to make changes to a work of art throughout the printing process. For example, if you are printing parts of direct mail and want to print names and addresses which differ each card, you can do so easily with digital printing. The digital process also gives you more flexibility in the materials you can print on and with the quantities as you can print as low as one copy with digital. Although there are disadvantages to digital printing, you still have a much greater choice with digital printing than with traditional offset printing. Offset printing requires larger minimum quantity to account for the large setup processes that are required to print.

As versatile as commercial digital printing is, it has its drawbacks that need to be carefully considered. First of all, the color quality is not as good as that of offset printing. Digital printing uses the CMYK system – a unique combination of cyan, magenta, yellow and black to get as close as possible to each color in your artwork. Offset printing, on the other hand, uses the Pantone color system for precise color matching.

Another disadvantage of digital printing is that the color is not absorbed by the paper in the same way as in offset printing. This means that when printed areas are cut or folded, there may be cracks in the ink. Therefore, digital printing may be less desirable for brochures, greeting cards and other folded products.

How should I prepare my artwork for best results?

The first thing you need to do is ask if your printouts are critical to quality, in other words: can you live with lower print quality? If you can, just print it. If you’re worried about this, you can always ask a customer service representative how low resolution printing can work. We recommend that you order a physical test printout so you can see for yourself (you can try printing it on a desktop printer so you can see it instantly). Do not attach it too much to an image or graphic. You can easily find a similar image with a higher resolution that will print with better quality.

If you have this option (or if quality is an absolute requirement), redesign the file. You will have to redesign the file from scratch, starting at 300 DPI. You can: redesign the whole document, redesign only pages with photos and illustrations (text is normally not affected by low resolution) or redesign only covers (to save time).
